Data Privacy Day is January, 28th. Get free training for parents, seniors, and kids.

Celebrate Data Privacy Day (DPD) with us on January 28th – DPD is a reminder that we should spend a little time every day thinking about our privacy and online safety. It’s that important.

Beginning on Monday, the 28th, I’ll be offering free in-person privacy awareness training for any group (local to the greater Chicago area) that wants to raise awareness about privacy. Training is tailored to the audience and available for children, parents, and seniors. This is a perfect opportunity for classrooms, libraries, church groups, community organizations like Cub Scouts/Girl Scouts, or small business associations and local government groups to learn more about online safety and privacy.

For younger audiences, the training session features Garfield’s Cyber Safety Adventures lesson on privacy.

We’ll watch a fun Garfield video (I wonder if our students would prefer Paw Patrol?), talk about online friends vs. real friends, and teach the kids how to protect their privacy online. Each student will receive a Garfield comic book, stickers, and trading cards.

The session lasts about 30 minutes and is best for ages 5-12 but all ages are welcome. I am available anytime on or after January 28th and can accommodate up to 60 students for the Garfield session.

Contact me at dan@profection.net to discuss scheduling a session for your classroom or community group in the Chicago area.

No catch. It’s free service to our community. Click here to learn more.
