I created this site because EVERYONE has a right to feel safe and secure in the digital world that we live in today. Cyber safety and privacy, however, is more than a right – it’s a responsibility. We need to take control of our online safety, raise awareness, and take action to proactively protect our loved ones, our livelihoods, and our personal identity from the many threats that exist in an always-connected world.
We often take security in the physical world for granted. Locks on doors. Seat belts in cars. Access to police and fire services. It’s unfortunate that we don’t demand the same protections in our digital lives, often trading-in our privacy and putting ourselves at risk of identity theft, invasion of privacy, financial loss, the list goes on… all because we assume that we shouldn’t have to worry about security. But we do.
Large enterprises are concerned with it – they spend billions of dollars every year to try to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. Small business, schools, non-profits, moms, dads, bloggers, teens, grandmothers, and everyone in between all need to be aware of ways to protect themselves in both the physical world and online.

Profection Security aims to educate and raise awareness of cyber security and privacy issues that impact everyone. We’ll deliver bite-sized tips and simple actions that you can take, often with only 2-3 minutes of effort, to better protect your family, friends, businesses, and anything you value from everyday threats that we all face, even if we don’t know it.
Protecting your safety and privacy online requires effort but Profection Security hopes to make it easier and help everyone realize the level of safety and privacy that we all deserve.

For nearly 20 years, Dan has been immersed in technology leading IT teams, projects, and security initiatives while balancing user experience and security with business objectives.
